Len Germinara has been writing, publishing and performing his poetry for three decades. For 17 years he ran spoken word venues in Massachusetts from south of Boston to Nantucket featuring some of the best poets in the country including Taylor Mali, Marge Piercy, Gregory Orr, Jack McCarthy, Brother Blue, Steven Dobyns, Franz Wright, Regie Gibson, Mark Doty and many more.

Len brings his poetry workshops into primary and secondary schools and introduces poetry and written observation and journaling as an integral part of biological field station curriculum for K-12 and college groups. He taught Eco-Poetics as part of the “Semester on Nantucket” Program for the University of Massachusetts Boston School for the Environment. He has been featured on WCAI-NPR in Massachusetts and Writers on the Air in Sacramento.

He currently resides in Eastham Massachusetts located on the Outer Cape part of Cape Cod with his wife Sarah Oktay, PhD, two dogs, and a cat. He is on the board of the Sacramento Poetry Center (Emeritus) and is the host for the Outer Cape radio station WOMR’s Poet’s Corner. His latest poetry book “Back Story” is available on Amazon.
